About Me

At a young age I developed a love of stories and always wanted to be an author when I was little. As I got older I wanted to be many things – a journalist, a teacher, a musician.
Throughout my life I became many things, always putting pen to paper as I went. From published poet and amateur music journalist in my teen years to self-published, award-winning children’s book author in adulthood. I have lived in many places around the country and am now settled in sunny Southeast Queensland where I live with my quiet partner and our two loud and lively children.

I acknowledge the Jagera and Turrbal people, the traditional custodians of Meanjin, the land on which I live and write.
I recognise their continuing connection to land, water and culture.
I pay my respect to elders past, present and emerging.
